Sunday: I had one goal for today

"Do something."  Instead, I spent the day doing as little as possible.  I guess that's almost like doing something.  I'm sure it'd at least share an entry in the thesaurus.

Now let's critique retro-futuristic drawings.

This is where the space pope lives, I think.

This is impractical.  You have all these isolated domes, but that just means you need a lot of airlocks and things. 

More like this, where you have everything in one dome, and then connect them with enclosed tubes. 

What is this, I don't even?  What does the giant molecule sculpture do, exactly?

This is another thing I don't understand about a lot of these things.  Sloped sides on buildings lead to lots of weirdly shaped rooms and wasted space.  Although, given the scale of the people, it's probably a fairly steep slope, so maybe that works better.

• So, when he was trying to buy the presidential election last year, Sheldon Adelson tried to get the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act changed.  That's the law that we have that says that if you bribe foreign officials so you can do business, you've broken the law.  Guess what?  It turns out that he totally bribed foreign officials so he could do business.
• "In addition to a book of 100 inspirations, there are Spanish- and English-language companion books for adults and young adults." Companion books.  For a TV show based on the bible.
• In Mitt Romney's mind, he lost because Obama bribed poor people with health care.  Probably because they're such greedy fucks that they won't just die in the gutter when they get sick.
• Bill Keller is a fucking idiot.  I suspect it's difficult for one NYT editorial page writer to suggest that another one learn what the fuck he's talking about and not spew shit from his mouth, so I'll suggest just that.
