Sunday: Three day weekends would be better.

Just from the perspective of having another day to sit at home and do nothing.
I had to go out to get a mailing box to send in my Switch controller, though.  That meant the wonders of wandering the office supply store.
Then home for video games, CW DC shows, and more video games.
And steak for dinner, because they looked good at the store yesterday.
The game made me wait to become anonymous to a bear before I could meditate on the tree.

Thursday: I am sleepy today.

Ugh.  At least this week has been productive.  So that's always good.

Someone clearly stole Julie's phone, because she opened my PKMN gift from like six months ago.

And Amazon sent me three notebooks instead of one.  That's a pretty good deal, I guess.
When I was opening the package, two of my coworkers mentioned how nice new office supplies are.  I didn't mention I have a tag just for that.

Wednesday: Avocado toast and typewriters.

I tried to recreate the one that Julie made for Christmas.  Not as good, obviously, but the garlic powder + chili + oil and salt did a nice job.  I still have an avocado, so I could possibly try again.  I'm tempted to start having breakfast now.
Also some typewriters.

This semi-circle design seemed to be popular.

Friday: Office supplies and the most WTF Japan thing ever.

I bought new chalk for my office yesterday.  It's sidewalk chalk, so hopefully people won't break it all the time.
It's not like chalk is complicated.  Lightly press chalk against board.  Pull chalk across board.  Do not push.  Pushing will likely break the chalk.  Or, I guess, I'll buy sidewalk chalk, so try not to break that too.
The colors were not sorted like this when I opened the box.  I sorted them into the row-cohorts shown above.
Then after work I went to get an eraser, as I didn't have one yesterday.  I found an acceptable one in a three pack for $5, and then wandered around and found a four pack of the eraser I actually wanted for $2.
Although they had a shitty selection of mechanical pencils and colored pencils.  The first isn't so bad, since I have the a full set of the best mechanical pencils ever, but I was hoping to find the second so I could do more coloring.

Today's Drawlloween is a devil.

And now the most "WTF, Japan?" thing ever:

Wednesday: I think this is just going to be links today

I never liked Persian.  Giovanni was good as the evil mastermind, though.

Notebooks

I like proper notebooks to store my stuff in.  In grad school, I used these:
$1.50ish. The ACCO ones are probably the best quality.
You triple whole punch your looseleaf pages (or the occasional journal article you printed out), and use the flappy steel retaining bar to hold it closed.  The nice thing about this is that when you complete the project, you can use these screw posts (someplaces apparently call them "Chicago posts"):
Only sold in insane quantities.
Basically, you use these when you're done, and are them left with a notebook comprised of looseleaf pages that is easily bound and able to live on a bookshelf without trouble.

However, after spending a month visiting another institution, I switched over to these books:
Like $8.
Pre-bound, wonderful grade paper, far easier to carry while walking than the five pound 600 page tomes I'd been making up to that point.  Smaller, and I waste a lot of space, as I only write on the right sheets.  The left sheets are there for indexing, quick notes and calculations, and thumbnail diagrams.  It's kind of a modified Cornell notes system that I use.  I skip the summary section, but noting keywords makes things far easier to find.
