Monday: Nearly finished work things.

Two things into review, sprint notebook largely finished, plan to try and finish other things tomorrow.  Yay.
Plus new art that requires another weird size frame.

Saturday: Queso burger

I didn't take any pictures, but I had queso, and the burger was ok.

Then today's plan of "do a draw":
The trick is to draw the thing to copy upside down, so you don't think about what you're drawing.  It's pretty effective it seems.

I mean, this isn't the best Raven ever, but it's not terrible.
I should practice more, but I think that's generally the case.

And then I played some more Obra Dinn.

Ok, so this lady dies because a beam falls on her.
And this guy has his gun out.  What's he shooting at?

Oh fuck!  Kraken!
I was not expecting that.  It's a good "everybody-killed-everybody murder mystery, also holy fuck!  Kraken!" game.

Wednesday: I have to wake up early tomorrow, so I probably can't play Stardew tonight.

It's somewhat cyclic, it seems.  Some days I really want to play it, others I don't really.

This was too cool to battle.

These turned out pretty good.

Thursday: A birthday day

Also an abstract writing day, but I've had a headache all evening, so I'll finish it and submit it tomorrow morning.

Cat dress.  At the art museum, three years ago.

My favorite beach, two years ago.

Today I also finished up the image simulation code I've been working on all week, and if I'm lucky, tomorrow will be some trivial changes to use that code for all the unit tests no one really bothered with.

Saturday: Museum day!

I woke up later than I wanted, but I still had three hours to explore the Princeton Art Museum when I got there.

That looks familiar.

I like animal shaped vessels.

I'm a bit torn on having mummies on display.

That.  Is not.  A dolphin.

Michael.

I probably could have spent more time there, which is a good thing.  After walking around the museum with a grumbly tumbly, I wanted something to eat.

Brisket, gravy, mac and cheese, cheese, grilled onions, with a side of dipping tomato soup.
The grilled cheese store is good.

I dumped Cloyster in a gym.

And finally caught a Buneary.

Monday: Things almost work at work?

It's close.  I don't fully understand where one test is getting things, but I think the solution for now is to ignore that problem, and put it into a separate ticket, in order to get the main problem sorted.

I am not Utagawa Kuniyoshi.  Obviously.

Friday: Nothing worked today.

A list of things that didn't work:

  1. The disks on the main cluster node.
  2. The main cluster node.
  3. Jira.
  4. Google's understanding of current restaurants.
  5. The test server.
  6. Parking.
  7. Half the things I tried to make work today.
  8. The sky.
  9. The health insurance webpage.
It was not the bestest most productive day.  Plus, I should spend a good chunk of the weekend writing and planning a talk.  I think I'm going to make it mostly figures, because that's most likely to be useful.

I did get an etsy package today.
It was full of glitter.
I was surprised, and kind of blew it all over.
Also the art I saw when Julie sent me a link to the artist.

Saturday: I should pack, but I'm not going to not go to the museum one last time.

Lunch first, though.

Steak sandwich with caper relish.

I caught this Lovecraftian horror.

And then dessert.
The special exhibition was art by Erick Swenson.
Oh look.  I accidentally the cape vs deer sculpture.

Interesting.
Fun fact: Erick Swenson isn't really my style.

Art deco birds?  Sure.

Guanyin? Of course.

Japanese bird + plant prints? Duh.

These guys?

This ancient guy?

This dancer?

Yves Tanguy?

Dodie Warren mezzotints?
Yes.  All of that is more my style.

And I had to do La Tour Cafe one last time as well.

Thursday: art museum

SF MoMA again.

 I like art.
 My favorite Ellsworth Kelly.
A cheese plate, outside, where it was cold, between art.
 Art spiders.
The exhibit I was hoping to see.
 More leftovers.
I've finally finished the first omnibus volume of Sandman.
