Wednesday: The code is ugly, but the stupid thing works.

Spooky.
Six years ago, we got kolaches.  And now I'm hungry.

Wednesday: Checked in and packed.

Except for things like "this laptop" and "the other electronics that need to charge" and "that medicine I left in my work fridge, which needs to stay cold all the time."

This is the Titanic Memorial in Belfast, from when I was there six years ago.
I also discovered a massive security problem at work today.  It turns out that my assessment of a previous programmer as "disturbingly obsessed with putting 'extended attributes' on everything" missed some details.

Thursday: Dargle.

I remembered today that I wrote that thing to pull up old photos if I didn't have one I took today.

I'm reasonably sure this is the sunrise from Haleakala, taken in 2010.
And, looking at the exif data and remembering today's date, it was actually taken tomorrow.  No idea how that got mixed up when I was creating the archive.

Monday: I should really write a program to do that.

Specifically, troll through years of images to find one that matches the that day's date.  That way, I can look at images from the past.  I have something halfway written, but it doesn't handle images that don't store the date taken in the filename.  The real solution is I should pull exif data, and cram it into a database.

Anyway, here's a tiny Kimchi.

It's blurry and out of focus and washed out, because phone cameras sucked long ago.

Wednesday: Fourth of July!

Which means the day off!
Good news, Bubbles! You don't have to!
It also means fireworks!
This one is from 2006.  It's still crazy sunny here, so this year's fireworks aren't happening for another two hours.
Also tasty food that's bad for you! I didn't take a picture of this.  Chili dogs are delicious, though.  What better way to celebrate America?
First thing I noticed: cheap burgers. Second thing: institutional racism.

So it's good we're getting better at things like that.
 Random animals!
This is the cutest panda picture in the history of cute panda pictures.

I believe this has been pointed out before.
