Saturday: A useless day spent playing video games.

Pretty much all day.
Climbed a big Poseidon.

Climbed a smaller Poseidon at night.

Had a wolf corpse sit up like it was still alive.

Ran into someone 40 levels higher than me.

Friday: Solved almost all my outstanding problems.

Which is good for a relaxing weekend.

All those dots are angry people.  I made lots of angry people.

I wonder if there are secret underwater places that are full of cool things that don't show up on the map.

I mean, there's just causal statues everywhere.

Thursday: Sleepy

Staying up late to play video games this week finally caught up.  I've been sleepy all day.

Singularity came back!  Yay!

Wednesday: I hate pair programming, but it's super useful, and it's a good way to spread knowledge and get things done.

Which is why I was happy it came back.  It's also good because there's someone else there to make you write proper unit tests instead of just asserting that things work correctly.

I'm still trying to cram in as much Assassin's Creed as I can before the holidays.  Which, given that I just completed the first half of the game yesterday, and then discovered that the extra DLC I got in my bundle contains like another at-least half of the game again, means I'm probably going to fuck around a bunch instead of advancing the story.  Today's problem was that I accidentally stumbled across a quadruple homicide that I accidentally committed by walking too close to people who got angry and then stabbed.  This game has characters who are both a) way too touchy about that kind of thing; and b) just don't give up when they can.  I guess that is in the title of the game.

Then I did one of the DLC quest lines, which involved saving a village.  After we all rode our horses out, the computer people walked back.

I met Thyia.

We discussed the finer points of mythology.

After saving the village, she was concerned about my finances, and the risks I took to help keep them safe.
I suggested that we take care not to create extra messes that would need to be cleaned up.

Followed by a short discussion of adequate nutrition.

So yeah.  Turns out there is a lot of romance in the DLC that I didn't know about.
Then I decided to fight a fire giant.
"I'm sure that boat will work."
 Spoiler: it did not.
So I swam.

To the lair of the Fire Dude.
Who promptly murdered me four times, because I am very very flammable.

Tuesday: It turns out jupyter is good for writing demos

Because I can seemlessly fold SQL, bash, and snek into one document to show what's going on, without having to do much work.

I also should stop staying up late playing video games.

Standing on Leonidas's head.

Looking at burning ships that I may or may not have anything to do with.

Killing the Minotaur.

Tricking a land bear into becoming an ocean bear, something they are bad at.

Seeing Phoibe.

Catching on fire at Pericles' party.

Catching on fire again at the same donking party.

"""""Meeting""""" Alkibiades.

Monday: Tomorrow I need to math at something to prove that I'm right.

Certainly hope I'm right, I guess.
Finally completed the Celebi questline.

Sunday, December 8, 2019

Sunday: I stayed up too late playing video games.

Whoops.
I also got ramen.
And then bought bird eye chilis and pineapple, because I was going to make tacos for dinner, and wanted to make a spicy sweet salsa.  I didn't, because I got lazy.
And Caroll Spinney died, which is super sad.  This is from when I met him, probably close to 15 years ago now.
I watched the rest of my show backlog, which is good, because the new episodes started today.
The new episode of Crisis on Infinite Earths.

Saturday: I am now mostly caught up on CW superhero shows

It did take pretty much the entire day, but I was able to work through almost all the backlog.  I need to watch Black Lightning still, but that's a smaller part of the crossover, I think.
Also the Shake Shack near me opened.  It was super busy, even at 4:30pm, so I may let it settle down and get "less new" before going back.
 Still super good, though.
And Ramona and I finally because Best Friends.

Which is a medal.

Friday: More work.

At least it's the weekend now.  Two days seems like a full week's worth of work, right?
Eevee picture to finish a quest.

Thursday: Work

Or, mostly meetings, very little actual work.  Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

I didn't know you could stay in a gym this long.

Wednesday: Travel.

Finally back home.

With airport tacos.
My flight was delayed more than an hour, which meant I got back an hour later than expected.  By that point, my groceries had arrived and joined the packages that had been piling up while I was on vacation.
And our Pokemon was still in the gym?
Weird.  Now to get up tomorrow and go to work and be productive again.

Tuesday: Good food and OMG, I play a psychopath in this game.

Delicious bbq.  I <3 bbq="" much.="" so="" td="">
And then some work during the day.
And pasta for dinner.
I played more of Pokemon Shield today.  I'm beginning to think either:

  1. I'm training way more than I should, and that I'm not supposed to be fighting everything I see.
  2. I'm a horrible monster that should be stopped.
At this point, I'm about 8 levels above everything I fight.  I have to actively plan what to do if I want to catch a new Pokemon, because my SadBoi will simply murder it in one move.  A quick summary:
This kid:  one shotted.

This kid:  one shotted.
This curry: delicious.

This guy: old enough to know better.

This guy: doesn't understand I just wanted a coffee.

These teens: sorely outmatched.

This guy: He can't be my rival if I murder all of his pets every time we meet.
This guy: Also can't be my rival because acting like a piece of shit doesn't mean anything if I kill your creatures without taking any damage.
This kid: not disguised enough.
To be fair, I am seeing all the sights and doing my best Galar tourism.  It just feels so wrong.

Monday: This happened last year, too

I take a longer-than-absolutely-necessary Thanksgiving break, and there's a winter storm at home.  Hopefully there'll still be some snow when I get home.  In less fun news, it looks like I lost power at home, and the NAS didn't reboot.  I probably need to make that the default setting somewhere.

Did get some Mysterious Forest in, though.
Also PKMN, but I didn't transfer images yet.  Tomorrow.

  • Being gone has made me think about how nice it'd be to be able to access my files remotely.  It looks like there are personal cloud solutions for what I want.

Sunday: Last things

Renegade Craft Fair.  I should take pictures of the things I got.  Also: I should make harissa curry sauce for fries.

Games.  Including the escape-room-in-a-box.
And sushi go.
Tex Mex dinner, travel prep, and me thinking about work to get done tomorrow.  I should probably try to call in for the Monday meeting.  And I should think about holiday travel some more.
